The legend that usually accompanies this photograph says that this is some very rare genetic mutation, and that this is almost the only black lion on the planet. In reality, of course, this is photoshop; no black lions have yet been seen in nature. And the original photograph shows an albino lion, in general a truly rare animal. The rest of the photographs of a black lion allegedly from Africa found on the Internet are lies.
There is not a single documented evidence of the existence of black lions in nature or captivity, either in the past or in the present. This is just speculation from eyewitnesses.
